HOW TO APPEAL TO THE HANDYMAN IN HIM
 
Guys, next time you owe your lady a favor, don’t say it with flowers.  Say it with tools!  Now guys…go read the sports section. Gals, when trying to get the man of the house to hit the honey–do list, try these leverage tactics, gleaned from years of marriage, then tested-positive to work!
 
1) TIMING IS EVERTHING. Pick the right moment…like when you’ve just posted bail for him…AND MILK IT!
2) MAKE IT ALL ABOUT HOW GOOD THIS IS FOR HIM!  Example: “The more equity you put in the house…the sooner we can retire.”
3) SPILL WHAT YOU WANT FIRST.  Say it in fewer than ten words to keep his brain from flooding, freezing or maybe overloading.
4) WHEN YOUR MAN IS PROCESSING THE REQUEST…come in for the close with your final argument: “Did I ever mention how sexy a man using power tools is?”
5) LEAVE IMMEDIATELY!!! Don’t stand around waiting for his response.
6)  RETREAT!  And let him come to you.
