Masonry Blade Curves are in, be an expert with the New ARCUS® Contoured Masonry Blade Louisville, KY – Barbara Cotten Robinson has done it again. With the success of the ARCUS® Wood
(contoured shaped) circular saw blade that cut curves and circles, Barbara has developed the ARCUS®
Masonry (contoured shaped diamond premium turbo) Blade. The difficult and skilled job of cutting precision circles, arcs and curves in concrete, stone, tile, stucco and cement board just got easier. (U.S. & Foreign Patent Pending) The inspiration for the ideal came when Barbara needed a circular frame for one of her stained glass pieces she had designed. Her husband Jeff used a router, and she started thinking there must be a better way. Later that day, she showed her husband how a 7” curved rimless salad plate moves in a spiral circle when rotated on its side. Prototypes were made until one that would cut a precise circle with smooth edges was developed. Since skill is needed keeping the circular saw on any line the compass guide was developed. This allows the skilled Carpenters and the Do-It-Yourselfers to cut a perfect circle in seconds using the Arcus® Cutting System on the first try. The Masonry Blade can be used freehanded to make curves and circle cuts from a 15 inch radius and larger. The ARCUS® Masonry Blade is 7" with a 10 mm rim that can be used dry or wet, however using the ARCUS® Masonry Blade wet does extend the life along with using the Compass Guide. Maximum depth of cut at 15 " radius is 1½" and a cut at 24 " radius is 2" in concrete. For decorative concrete designs the new Arcus Masonry Blade can be used freehanded or with the compass guide which is available in larger sizes. The cutting width is ⅛" and the turbo rim gives a long service life with consistent finishes. The contoured blade height lying flat is ¼" due to the contoured design. Check your saw for enough clearance so blade does not rub when mounted in the saw, not all the compact lighter weight saws have that much clearance. The ARCUS® Cutting System turns a circular saw into a precision cutting tool for cutting arcs, curves and plunge cutting circles. The same Compass Guide can be used with both the ARCUS® Wood and Masonry Blades and fits most saws. The Compass Guide square tubular design is durable and will not bend or flex. The standard size extends to 27" with larger sizes available. A Pivot Point that you stand on was developed to use with Compass Guide with the ARCUS® Masonry Blade this will extend the life of the ARCUS® Masonry Blade and is more precise than using the ARCUS® Masonry Blade alone. This makes the ARCUS® Cutting System flexible and cost effective for every cutting need. To order, Email Us or call 985-641-3730. Home Talk now proudly accepts...
