Brick Molding
Question
The brick front of my house goes all the way up to the eaves; the joint
between the top of the wall and the roof overhang is covered with a
band molding. That is, most of the joint is covered, but there is an
11-inch-long gap where the molding was removed, and the gap is big enough
to let in insects. I can't nail a new piece of molding there because
there is not enough wood to nail into. How can I cover the gap?
Answer
There should be enough wood showing to glue the molding on. Cut the
molding to fit, and glue it on with construction adhesive (liquid nails)
or an adhesive caulk.
