WALLPAPER GLUE QUESTION: I took the paper of f my bathroom walls, but not all the glues came off. I washed the glue several time until it looked good, then applied two coats of super white and then a nice blue. Well, it remained bumpy, and I am rather upset. Now, how can I make it smooth so that the paint job will look decent? ANSWER: Sand it smooth, which will be more difficult because three coats of paint are protecting those bits of glue. Start with coarse sandpaper to really buck it down, and finish with medium to achieve a smooth surface. Power sanding will help, but you have to be careful that you don’t go too deep. Then apply one coat of latex enamel under coater (no Super White needed), check with smoothness and then finish with the final coat. In fact try the under coater on a small area to see if the bits of glue, are indeed, gone forever. If
