DISHWATER SMELL
QUESTION: There is a strange smell coming from my dishwasher. It works okay but the odor persists. Where could it be coming from?
ANSWER: Chances are, the machine is not draining completely, and there is standing water in the sump. You may not be able to see it but it is there and since it is wash water, it doesn't take long for it to smell to high heaven. Unless you know everything there is to know about dishwaters, call your appliance dealer. He will let you know if it needs fixing or replacing.
